What is In-Home Care?
In-home care includes a broad range of health care and assisted living support services provided in the comfort of a person’s home. In-home care isn’t just for those who are chronically or terminally ill. A disability, or accident and illness recovery, may require in-home care services where a person can stay at home and receive professional care.
How do I determine which in-home care services I need?
Leading Edge Senior Care conducts an initial in-home detailed evaluation for potential clients, this is a complimentary service. From there, our administrative staff provides a full assessment and develops a care plan to determine which of our services are appropriate for your specific needs.
Do you have a minimum number of hours of service?
We do not have a weekly minimum, but we do have a 3 hour per visit minimum. In some situations, we can be flexible and lower the minimum to accommodate specific needs of the client; for example we do offer one-hour bath visits, 1 hour wellness checks, and transportation services.
Are your staff bonded and insured?
Yes. All employees are bonded and fully insured by Worker’s Compensation insurance and professional liability insurance.
How does Leading Edge Senior Care select their employees?
Leading Edge Senior Care hires only the highest quality of staff. All employees are extensively interviewed and screened prior to hire and we perform county, state and national criminal background checks on all potential employees. Past work history and references are thoroughly checked with previous employers and supervisors. Upon hire, drug testing is performed on all employees. Random screening is performed thereafter. We set and maintain high standards and expect the same of our employees to ensure the finest and most consistent home care services.
Will I have the same person for each visit?
Consistency is extremely important. Having a friendly and familiar face each visit, instead of a total stranger every visit, is better for you and the staff member. To us, it is about building a relationship and becoming comfortable with the staff member in your home. Also, a consistent staff member can recognize changes in your health or behavior almost immediately and adapt to them quickly. With that said, yes, the same person will be there each visit.
What do Home Care Services Cost?
Our rates are determined by the type of care and level of care needed; we provide personal care assistants, companions, and homemakers. In-home care agencies typically charge by the hour. Leading Edge Senior Care’s services range from $32 to $36 per hour depending upon the type and level of care required. We determine the rates with an in-depth assessment conducted at your home, this is a free service.
