Dementia support groups will be held monthly!
Wednesday April 2nd from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00pm.

A support group focused on all topics that will assist family members in caring for their loved one that has been diagnosed with Dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease.
This will cover all stages from the beginning stages through the late stages. Each month, a new topic will be discussed like refusing to bathe, eating, establishing routines, activities, and so much more.
Each attendee will receive a binder with information to guide you through this journey.
Our meetings will include discussions about:
– Stages of Dementia & Alzheimer’s Disease
– The Importance of a Routine
– Tips for Getting a Loved One to Bathe
– Tips for Making Sure Your Loved One Eats
– How to Deal with Various Scenarios
– Cognitive Therapy
– So much more!

Topic discussed at our next meeting:
People talk about having a routine, but what does that mean when caring for someone with dementia? It is important to understand what their routine looks like because it is not going to be the same as us having a daily routine.
We will discuss how having a routine for your loved one will make the day run smoother for both of you and lessen frustration. In addition, we will provide examples and work with you to put together a routine that will work for you and your loved one.
